Bonnie Jean Vandever

Bonnie Jean (Morgan) Vandever was born January 17, 1941 at Jennings, OK, the daughter of Cecil Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth (Pittser) Morgan. She left her earthly home for Heaven on Monday, September 7, 2020 at the age of 79 years. A lifetime resident of the area, Bonnie was raised and received her education in Cleveland and on August 31, 1956 was united in marriage to Harry Rudolph Vandever in Tulsa, OK. When ask about any accomplishments in her life that she was most proud of, she would say “having and raising six children and helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren in knowing about God and our Lord Jesus; also being there for others and helping always with love and compassion to try and make their lives better and happier – and always loving her God and Lord Jesus. She always lived life full of happiness and follow her Lord all through life. To treat others with kindness and love as God told us to do. Bonnie enjoyed being with family, sharing laughter and joy and spending time in church. Among her many hobbies, she loved singing, sewing, and knitting. Bonnie was most happy when she was worshipping her God whether it be through prayer or singing. If Bonnie could leave us a message; I’m sure it would be to: “Just keep serving the Lord and being kind to one another and that she will be waiting and watching for you”; and to just remember me with laughter and love.
Bonnie leaves behind her six children – James Vandever and wife Becky, Larry Vandever, Connie Collier, Angela Vandever all of Cleveland; Donna Vandever of Sapulpa and Melissa Yochum of Stillwater; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and six sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved Husband, two unborn children – Tammy Jean and Jamie Dean, one great grandchild Kylen Raye; seven sisters and one brother.
