On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Bobby Hooper, loving husband, father, and grandfather died peacefully in his home in Cleveland, Okla. at the age of 84. Bobby was born on November 26, 1935 in Stillwater, Okla. to Claud and Nora (Borden) Hooper. On April 22, 1961, he married Helen Marie Adams. They raised three children, Lisa, Michael and Bobbi Kay.

He graduated from Pawnee High School in 1954 and joined the Air Force in January 1955. While serving in the Air Force, Bobby was stationed in Japan and played basketball for the service traveling all over Asia. He was honorably discharged in January 1959.

Bobby worked in the oilfield industry his entire career and served as a production planner for CE Natco in Tulsa for more than 25 years. He retired from Linde in Catoosa, OK in 2004. He was a member of the First Assembly of God of Cleveland, and served on the board for several years. He traveled with the church mission trips to Alaska. He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his unfailing work ethic, his humility, his kind and compassionate spirit, his love for his family and his passion for sports and the OSU Cowboys.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Claud, his mother, Nora, his sisters, Betty Dacy and Christine Hardy. He is survived by his wife Helen, his three children, Lisa Higgins her husband Ronnie, Michael Hooper his wife Beth, Bobbi Kay Lewis her husband Daniel, his grandchildren Michael, Blake and Colt Higgins, Haley, Chase and Ciera Hooper, seven great grandchildren, Makayla, Mahlina, Makenze, Leo, Kamber, Sage, and Haylin Higgins, and his sisters Rebecca Porter and Shirley Cook.

A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Woodland Cemetery at 2 o’clock p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to americanveteranscenter.org.
