Bobby Lynn Hughes

Bobby Lynn Hughes was born March 16, 1962 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Delbert and Margie (Norris Hughes. Bobby was raised and attended school in Cleveland until his family moved to Sand Springs in 1977. Bobby completed his education in Sand Springs; following the death of his father on January 15, 1992, he returned with his family to Cleveland. Bobby was a gentle person that never met a stranger. He loved to strike up a conversation and visit. He will be remembered for his kind and friendly attitude always sharing his love with those around him. He could often be seen searching the streets of Cleveland for hidden treasure while pushing his grocery cart and collecting things. He loved watching television and his favorite programs were soap operas. Bobby cherished his family and loved spending time with his mother, two sisters and their families. He was baptized and accepted Jesus as his personal savior while attending the Western Heights Baptist Church many years ago. He went to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of forty-nine after a short illness. Bobby is survived by his mother, Margie Hughes of Cleveland; sister, Mary Hughes of Cleveland; sister and her husband, Barbara and Robert Stokes of Cleveland, Oklahoma; nephew, Cody Hughes of Cleveland; niece, Vanessa Stokes of Cleveland, Oklahoma; numerous aunts, uncles, family and friends that will mourn his passing. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 16, 2011 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
