On June ninth Heaven welcome Beverly Elaine (Wiley) Sisk. Beverly was born June 1, 1931 at Traver, California to John Franklin and Florence Isabelle (Churchill) Wiley. She crossed over to start her heavenly life on June 9, 2020 at the age of 89. Beverly grew up and completed her education in Traver.
On October 10, 1946 Beverly was united in marriage to Luther G. Sisk in Reno Nevada. Beverly has been a Cleveland resident for 71 years, and after raising her 5 children and getting them all in school, she worked at various jobs in the community where people got to know and trust her. Beverly was known for her work ethic, friendliness, and her contagious smile. Beverly never met a stranger and people gravitated to her. Beverly was active in several churches through the years but attended Western Heights until her health limited her from going places.
One of Beverly’s personal accomplishments was taking all her grandchildren at different times to Hawaii. Beverly loved to travel making a tour of Europe, going on cruises, and traveling across the United States.
Beverly was also known to have raised a few kids that were not her own but opened her heart and home to them so they could graduate from high school. Beverly loved going to the movies here in town every week with friends, loved going to the senior dances, and going to water aerobics. What Beverly loved most though was hosting family holidays and gatherings. Her family was the world to her.
Those who survive include her two sons – Stanley Sisk and wife Karen of Muskogee, OK, Gary Sisk of Cleveland, OK; three daughters – Sherryl Thornton of Cleveland, OK, Vickie Beaty and husband Kenneth of Cleveland, OK, Mary Lee and husband John of Cleveland. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren Angela Enloe, Douglas Hewitt, Owen Thornton, Jr., Andrea Nelson, Traci Sisk, Mike Sisk, Lori Anderson, Tonya Parr, J.G. Beaty, John Lee II, Justin Lee; thirty four great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends, she is also survived also by her loving dog Sophie, her dear friends Barbara O’Rourke, Anna LaFern Brown, and Carl. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband Luther, and siblings – Helen Orr, Kenneth Wiley, Ginger Barnes, Winston Wiley, June Durbow, Betty Shelton, Franklin Wiley and son in law Owen Thornton, SR, she is survived also by her loving dog Sophie, her dear friends Barbara O’Rourke, Anna LaFern Brown, and Carl.

At the request of the family, Beverly will be cremated and interred in the Woodland Cemetery, Cleveland. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland.
