Betty L Fearn

Betty L. Fearn went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the age of ninety at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home. Betty was born on March 19, 1927 in Prue, Osage County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of William "Claud" Sutterfield and Nettie Elizabeth (House) Sutterfield.

Betty was raised in Osage and attended school there; graduating from Osage High School in 1945. Upon graduation, Betty moved to Sand Springs and worked in a local establishment, returning to Osage in 1946 where she accepted employment in a local Café. Betty then moved to Cleveland for a short time before moving to California in the early 1950's accepting a position as a fruit harvester. She later returned to Osage when she accepted employment as a seamstress for Munsingwear in Hominy in 1953.

While employed by at Munsingwear, Betty was united in marriage to Al Fearn in December of 1958. The couple moved frequently during their marriage, residing in Texas, Blackwell, Nebraska until 1969 when they moved to Texarkana.

In the early 70's, Betty returned to Cleveland and began working for Southwest Cupid, Wayne’s Grocery store in Cleveland and as a waitress on the second shift, retiring in 1991. . For several years after her retirement she continued to work as a private care giver for families in the Cleveland area.

She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Cleveland. In her later life, Betty moved to Sand Springs where she resided for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Willadean Cullison and Helen Dill; and three brothers, Leonard Sutterfield, Ulis Sutterfield and Clifton (Budgie) Sutterfield.

Betty is survived by her son, Garry L. Rogers of McCook, Nebraska; sister and her husband, Carol and Derias Johnson of Osage, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kevin and Tangie Rogers of McCook, Nebraska and Lindsay and Brian Chessmore of Neola, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Kory, Kendra, Athen and Aletha; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends that mourn her passing.
