Betty Jo Moore a long time Cleveland resident passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Cleveland Manor Nursing Home at the age of 84. Betty was born September 12, 1924 the daughter of Joseph Curtis and Gertrude Mae (Brown) Williams. As a young girl Betty was raised and received her education in Tulsa. She attended Will Rogers High School and graduated with the Class of 1942. Soon after graduation Betty enrolled at the Tulsa Business College after completion of her higher education she accepted employment with Tulsa Plastics as a secretary. Betty continued working for Tulsa Plastics for several years. In the early 1960ís Betty was united in marriage to Robert Moore. The couple established their home in the addition of Hill n Dale and later moved to Westport. Betty was an artist. She enjoyed painting and was a wonderful pianist. Mrs. Moore was also a lady that loved to help under privileged people in need. On numerous occasions Betty helped people monetarily. Survivors include her sister Iris Daniel and her husband Fred of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother in law L.E. Ramey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews as well as other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by one sister Norma Jean Ramey. Private funeral services were held on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 3:30 pm in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Joe Anglin officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorial contribution may be made in memory of Betty to a charity of your choice. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com. Pallbearers include Fred Daniel III, John Daniel and Brent Bahner.
