Barbara Gail Amen

Barbara Gail Amen was born August 22, 1971 in Mesa, Arizona; she was the daughter of Melvin Amen and Letha Ann Cudney. She moved with her family at an early age to McCurtain, Oklahoma where she recieved her education. She later moved to Tulsa where she resided until 2004 when she moved to the rural Cleveland area. Barbara was an avid country and western music fan and her favorite artists where Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Shania Twain and the Zac Brown Band She was a loving and caring mother who dedicated her life to raising her three sons, Josh, Sam and Austin. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and strived to make the ultimate meal that resulted in smiles on everyone's faces because the meal was so great. The influence of her mother on her life was evident in her caring and compassionate nature. As Barbara was raised in the Baptist Church, her favorite scripture was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Barbara passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at her home near Cleveland at the age of thirty-seven. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Mathias Amen and a brother, Austin Lee Amen. She is survived by her three sons, Joshua Amen, Samuel Evrett and Austin Amen all of the home; her husband, Jerry Wayne Coble of Stigler, Oklahoma; her mother, Letha Ann Cudney of Cleveland, Oklahoma; brothers and sisters, Jeff Amen and Sandra York, Tammy Quezada and her husband Angel, Ronnie Amen and his wife Debbie and Donald Amen and his wife Denise; nephew, Angel Quezada; two neices, Destiny and Tasha Amen. A memorial service will be held at a later date following cremation under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
