Anna Ingalls

Anna Ingalls of Luling, Texas, formerly of Cleveland, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the age of seventy-one. Anna was born on July 15, 1940 in Lead Hill, Arkansas; she was the daughter of Clifford Wilson Rickel and Dortha Fay (Mears) Rickel. She later moved with her family to the Sand Springs area where she attended school and graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1958. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; two sisters, Dorris Smart and Mavis DuVall. Anna is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Teresa and David Sima of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Becky and Tommy Cooper of Luling, Texas three granddaughters, Bobbi Jo and her husband, Matt Grantham of Luling, Texas, Tiffany and her husband, Michael Collie of Luling, Texas and Audrey Sima of Springfield, Missouri; two great grandsons, Devin and Gavin Grantham of Luling, Texas; and a sister and her husband, Norma and Boyd Cochrane of Gore, Oklahoma. Anna was a lifelong Cleveland area resident and was introduced to her husband, Bob by her longtime class mate, Jeri Toothman. The couple had thirty-four wonderful years together which included raising their two daughters, Teresa and Becky in the Cleveland area and watching them mature into wonderful ladies. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking; especially breads and deserts and loved having her family to her home for holiday meals. Some of her favorite memories included meeting the girls on Tuesday at the Hickory House and going shopping, being present when her second great grandson was born and watching both great grandsons grow into the ìgreatest little men.î She also recalled with great passion the support and assistance provided by her daughters in her battle with cancer. Anna also enjoyed the great memories and friendships she established with the ladies in her water aerobics classes in Luling. Her fondest memories and greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and watching her granddaughters grow into such lovely women. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Woodland Cemetery Chapel with Gene Black serving as celebrant. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
