Infant son of Jim and Ashleigh (Hurd) Neel, Sawyer James departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2010 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Survivors include his loving parents Jim and Ashleigh Neel; paternal grandparents Jenny Neel Mayoza, Jim Neel and Jim Mayoza all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; maternal grandparents Dixie Hurd of Wynona, Billy Hurd of Ripley, Oklahoma; paternal great grandparents Louise Knight of Tulsa, Oklahoma; maternal great grandparents Bobbi and Gene Taylor of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Pat and Bill Hurd of Wynona, Oklahoma; uncle David Neel of Shreveport, Louisiana; two aunts Gwen Neel of Shreveport, Louisiana, Khammi Hurd of Austin, Texas as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Sawyer was preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather Dean Knight; paternal great grandparents Larry and Mary Neel and maternal great grandfather Kennith Howell.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Gary "Doc" Blevins officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share condolences with the family online at www.chapman-black.com
