Susan Gayle Muth, 70, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Susan was born April 2, 1947, in Prue, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of James Frank and Billie Earlene (Garrett) Lawrence.  As a young girl, Susan grew up in the Osage area where she began her education and graduated high school from Prue, Oklahoma.  Following high school, Susan was united in marriage to Ellis Clayton in 1964.  The couple established their home in Sand Springs where they raised their three children Terri, Mark and Jeff.  She was later married to Dan White.  The couple resided in Claremore in the early years but settled down in Bristow.  Following the death of Dan; Susan resided in Tulsa where she continued to live until her final days.

Susan enjoyed panning for gold as well as riding motorcycles.  She also spent many hours playing Farkle and going fishing.  She enjoyed being with her family that she loved immensely.  Susan enjoyed the holidays and was very diligent about her Christmas tree. Susan loved her cats and made sure they were cared for.  She loved spending time feeding all the animals around her home.  Going shopping was something Susan always looked forward to.  Monday’s and Wednesdays were very special to her.  Those were, when Jeff would visit as well as Amy, both bringing a Braum’s cheeseburger and a vanilla shakes to enjoy.


Survivors are her one son Jeff Clayton and his wife Paula of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren Cody Lawrence of Vancouver, Washington, Amy Conner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Paula Conner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Suzie Clayton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brittany Clayton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Debra Richard of Patterson, Louisiana, Jerry Chambers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tabitha Sharp of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kayla Sharp of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lauren Weir of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Sam Weir of Edmond, Oklahoma; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.  Susan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dan, two children Terri Shawn Foresman, Mark Ellis Clayton; two brothers Jimmy Lawrence and Jerry Lawrence.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at the Open Arms Fellowship Church.  Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.  Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangments.
