Micheal Duane Goodell passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 23 days.

Micheal was born February 5, 1952, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He is the son of James Goodell and Dorothy Loretta (Gilley) Patak. Micheal completed is education at Cleveland High School and graduated with the class of 1971. On July 9, 1971, Micheal married Lavonne Joyce Hewitt. It was a match from the start, Micheal and Lavonne was born and on the same day and year. From this marriage they had two children, Micheal Jr. and Kimberly. They lived in Cleveland for a couple of years than finally settling in Osage, Oklahoma. Micheal worked for 44 years as a machinist at Frank Wheatley in Sand Springs, which later became National Oilwell Varco in Tulsa. In 2015, Micheal retired as machinist where he worked 12 hours shifts most days and was the best husband and father anyone could have.

Micheal liked watching college football and was a big OU fan. He liked traveling to Florida. He was a fun and loving Papa always helping others. Micheal and Lavonne was married for 46 years.

Survivors wife Lavonne of the home, two children Micheal Goodell, Jr of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Kimberly Cox and her husband Jerome of Missouri Valley, Iowa; mother Dorothy Patak and her husband Frank of Perry, Oklahoma; two siblings Johnny Cramer of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Alicia Cramer of Cleveland, Oklahoma; father in law Weslie Hewitt of Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother in law Gerald Hewitt and his wife Sherry of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Clint Hewitt and his wife Shari of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister in law Kim Hewitt of Cleveland, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Briauna, Haley, Megan and Jerome Cox, Jessika and Allyson Goodell.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Dorothy and Basil Gilley, brother Steven Hunt, mother in law Ellyn Hewitt, brother in law Cliff Hewitt.

Dontations in memory of Micheal’s can be made to Hopitality House of Tulsa, 1135 South Victor, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
