Lynda Kay Bourland passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018, in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years three months and twenty-three days
Lynda was born October 31, 1948, in Ada, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Coda Alvin and Juanita Ruby (Pulliam) O’Neal. Lynda grew up in Oklahoma residing in many places while her father was employed in the oil fields. She attended school at several locations later graduating from Wynona High School. Following high school, Lynda attended Oklahoma State University to further her education. Lynda returned to the Ada area where she raised her children. She returned to Cleveland before moving to Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Lynda and Larry met while she was residing in Sallisaw and got married on August 8, 1988, in Fort Smith. The couple established their home in Fort Smith for a short time then returned to Cleveland to help with her mother’s care.
Lynda worked as a data entry clerk for many years for First Data. She enjoyed the trip to Hawaii with her mother and sister which she spoke of often. Lynda always enjoyed Dancing with the Star, Big Brother and Days of Our Lives her favorite music was country and the band The Eagles. Lynda was always entering the contest on the radio trying to win something and was successful on numerous occasions.
Lynda is survived by her husband Larry of the home, two children Donnie Pack and his wife Toni of Texas; Dale Pack and his wife Monica of Norman, Oklahoma; step son Kenny Bourland and his wife Angela of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; sister Carolyn Smith and her husband Neiman of Cedar Hill, Texas; five grandchildren, uncle Kenny Pulliam and his wife Maxine of Bristow, Oklahoma as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Wheeler, father C.A. O’Neal and stepfather Clyde Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor J.D. Hostutler officiating. Private burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangments.
