Debra Jean Perrin, 62, passed from this life September 14, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma. Debra was born on May 1, 1956 to John Gayda and Dorothy Jean (Wells) Feidner in Hutchinson, Kansas. Rick Perrin united with her in marriage in 1982 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. After her post high school education Debra worked for Hominy Public schools filling many different positions. Debra’s most fulfilling work was as a para professional for Hominy Public Schools the past 16 years.
During their marriage together, Debra and Rick enjoyed participating in Tulsa Ski Club activities such as; scuba diving, rafting, water skiing, and snow skiing. They had a very active lifestyle and loved to travel. Debra and Rick raised 3 children; Valerie, Richard, and Ronni. Some of Debra’s fondest memories were vacationing with her sisters, family dinners at Grandma’s, spending time with family at Thanksgiving, watching her kids play sports, and watching her grandson Titus being born. Her favorite music was anything she could dance to. Debra’s favorite hobbies were decorating for assemblies especially Veterans Day, as well as, holidays at school. Laughing with her sisters was the most fun she ever had. The greatest enjoyment of her life was her children. The thing she was most passionate about was being a support for her students.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Perrin; her son, Richard Perrin; Mother-in-law Marylo Perrin; daughter, Ronni Roney and husband Chad; stepdaughter, Valerie Lopez and husband Joe; sisters, Edith Brickson & husband Randy, Sharon Griffin, and Rosalie Jones & husband Brady; sister-in-laws, Vicki Williams & husband Mark, and Lindee DeRoin & husband James; six grandchildren, Kaleb, Noah, Abby, Titus, Faye, and Gwen. Debra also had numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Debra is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Johnny Gayda; Father-in-law Sherman Perrin; nephew, J.T. DeRoin; and Brother-in-law, Acie Griffin.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2018; with burial in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
